Panorama^® Antibody Microarray - XPRESS Profiler725 Kit

Components

725 antibodies spotted in 32 sub-arrays, each containing duplicate spots of 23 antibodies, as well as duplicate positive control spots (a monoclonal antibody that recognizes Cy3 and Cy5) and several negative controls. Antibodies are spotted in high density to ensure strong signals. Antibodies are also available individually from Sigma. Refer to Antibody List for specific catalog number(s).

Application

The array can be used for comparing protein expression profile between two samples (test vs. reference samples). Each sample is directly labeled with a different florescent dye and the two samples are applied simultaneously on the array. The expression profile of each sample is recorded individually and compared. This allows one to determine if proteins are up- or down-regulated, comparatively, or allows for the profile of a sample to determine if a protein is present or not, such as when looking at genomic modifications.

General description

The Panorama^® Antibody Microarray – XPRESS Profiler725 Kit is a proteomics tool that measures the relative level of protein expression (protein microarrays) in cell or tissue extracts and blood plasma or serum. The antibodies used represent families of proteins known to be involved in a variety of different biological pathways and molecular processes, including but not limited to cell stress, cell cycle, signaling transduction, apoptosis, neurobiology, and gene regulation. Results obtained using the array are qualitative and should be further evaluated by other methods such as immunoblotting assays or ELISA.
