Description
General description
HiTrap® SP and HiTrap® Q columns are prepacked, ready-to-use columns, suitable for syringe or peristaltic pump use (adapters included).
Recommended flow rate: 1 mL/min
Maximum back pressure: ~40 psi (3 bar)
Chemical stability: All commonly used aqueous buffers, 1 M sodium hydroxide, 8 M urea, 6 M guanidine, 70% ethanol.
HiTrap® Q: strong anion exhange Sepharose® media for use at pH above the pI of the biomolecule (molecule will carry a negative net charge). Choose Q if the sample components are most stable above their pI.
HiTrap® SP: strong cation exhange Sepharose® media for use at pH below the pI of the biomolecule (molecule will carry a positive net charge). Choose SP if the sample components are most stable below their pI.
