Description

General description

Titan 1.9 μm Silica is a high-speed Ultra High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (UHPLC) column based on a highly efficient, patent pending Ecoporous process for making monodisperse particles. The Titan particle is based on high-purity spherical, fully porous silica with an ultra-narrow particle size distribution for optimum efficiency.

The pentafluorophenylpropyl stationary phase of Titan PFP provides a stable reversed phase packing with electron-deficient phenyl rings due to the presence of electronegative fluorine atoms. In addition to forming pi-pi interactions and steric recognition, PFP phases also retain compounds due to polar and ionic interactions. Titan PFP can be used for basic, acidic, or neutral compounds and provide highly orthogonal selectivity compared to a traditional C18.
