General description

Fundamental chemical principles are best retained by students when visual aids are utilized. The CHEMDEMO kits allow educators to present the basic properties of chemistry safely and easily.

Demonstrates the phenomenon of crystallization by using a sodium acetate supersaturated solution. A "seed" crystal of sodium acetate induces the crystallization process, whereas crystals of other substances, such as sodium chloride, do not. The demonstration can be used with an overhead projector. Two demonstrations per kit.
