Application

Nafion^® is a perfluorinated ion-exchange membrane which has a wide variety of commercial uses. The acidic (hydrogen ion) form and derivatives are solid, superacid catalysts useful in a wide variety of synthetic applications.¹

Surface that is shiny and smooth must be installed facing the cathode.

General description

A 'bimembrane' with one layer having equivalent weight 1,500 and thickness 0.001in., and the other layer having equivalent weight 1,000 and thickness 0.005in.
