Application

Proton exchange membrane in PEM electrolyte fuel cells.

Features and Benefits

The material possesses good proton-exchange properties and good water retention capacity, mainly due to sulfonic acid groups grafted on silica. The properties of the material lend its use mainly as Nafion replacement, in fuel cell membranes, in gas/solvent dryer/humidifier, or as a super-acid membrane.
