General description
Recommended for the protection of vacuum pumps and the environment from their exhaust when used to clean incoming air from an evaporation system. Filters contain one of three chemical trap media (activated carbon, molecular sieves, or indicating desiccant) and a pleated, hydrophobic PTFE membrane filter cartridge fuse-bonded to the outlet of an all PP housing. The membrane stops 99.99% of particulates greater than 0.1μm in size in air/gas and aqueous solutions.
Inlet: hose barb for 1/2 in. (12.7mm) tube.
Outlet: step-barb 3/8 to 1/2 in. (10 to 12mm).
Suggested trap usage:
• Activated carbon for organic vapors
• Molecular sieves for organic and alkaline air streams
• Anhydrous calcium sulfate for acidic air streams
