Three sets of images for inclusion into document produced by a wide variety of word processors, desktop publishing and graphics packages. Windows Meta files (.WMF) format can be used with a large number of Microsoft Windows applications. Use the graphics commands in a word processor to place symbols into documents. Supplied on 3.5 in HD diskettes.
Color and greyscale images
Colored files are designed to produce good density and tone when using a color inkjet printer. Please note that when displayed on a computer monitor there may be some variation in color between screen images and printed document. Greyscale files are images optimized for printing on monochrome inkjet or laser printers. The shades of grey give a realistic impression of colored surfaces and enhance clarity and ease of reading, with better reproduction if a document is photocopied after printing.
Each set of symbols includes both color and greyscale images.
Image size and quality
Images were drawn by an artist, not scanned electronically to produce better quality in a compact file size. Word processing or graphics software has scaling commands to expand or shrink the images to an appropriate size for a variety of documents, labels, data sheets etc. The Windows Meta File format allows images to be expanded to A4 size without loss of detail.
