Magnetic stirrers for cell suspensions and tissue cultures. These magnetic stirrers run slowly and without jerking to protect cells while stirring cultures, broths and cell suspensions. Their low power consumption means there is minimal heat generated. The remote control units separate stirring drive from power and control to further reduce heat emitted by stirrer, thereby minimising heat transfer to the culture being stirred. Suitable for long term use, even in CO₂ incubators.
