J774.2 Cell Line from mouse 

Cell line J774.2 was recloned from the original ascites and solid tumour J774.1, and produces IL-1.
Maintain cultures between 3-9 × 10⁵ cells/ml in 5% CO2 at 37 °C. Cells are semi-adherent; some cells will grow in suspension , some will loosely attach to the surface and others will flatten out and firmly attach to the surface. When passaging, cells should be scraped. Do not allow cells to overgrow and become confluent as this can lead to a loss of the flattened adherent cell characteristic.
Recommended culture medium: DMEM + 2mM L-glutamine + 10% FBS.
