Hep G2 Cell Line human 

The Hep G2 cell line was isolated from a liver biopsy of a 15-year-old male Caucasian with a well differentiated hepatocellular carcinoma. These cells secrete a variety of major plasma proteins e.g. albumin, α₂-macroglobulin, α₁-antitrypsin, transferrin, and plasminogen.
Subculture: Split at 70-80% confluency, approx. 1:3 to 1:6 (2-3 × 10⁴ cells/cm²). Trypsinize using 0.25% solution, with or without EDTA, 37 °C and 5% CO₂.
Recommended culture medium: EMEM (EBSS) + 2mM L-glutamine + 1% non-essential amino acids + 10% FBS.
