A431 Cell Line human 

The A431 cell line was derived from an 85-year-old female with epidermal carcinoma. The cells carry large numbers of EGF binding sites and is an indicator cell for anti-TGF binding.
Subculture: Split at 70-80% confluency, approx. 1:3 to 1:6 (2-4 × 10⁴ cells/cm²). Trypsinize using 0.25% solution, with or without EDTA, 37 ^oC and 5% CO₂.
Recommended culture medium: EMEM (EBSS) + 2 mM glutamine + 1% non essential amino acids (NEAA) + 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS).
