Application
Cell line transformed with sheared human Ad5 DNA. Sensitive to human adenoviruses and adenovirus DNA. Can be used to isolate transformation defective host-range mutants of Ad5 and for titrating human adenoviruses.
Recommended culture Medium: EMEM (EBSS) + 2 mM glutamine + 1% non essential amino acids (NEAA) + 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS).
Subculture: Spit at 70-80% confluency, approx. 1:2 to 1:3 (3-5 × 104 cells/cm2). Trypsinize using 0.25% solution, with or without EDTA, 37 oC and 5% CO2.
