Application
Recommended medium: RPMI 1640 + 2 mM L-Glutamine + 10% FBS.
Seed cultures at 5 × 104 viable cells/ml. Subculture at approx. 5 × 106 cells/ml, typically 3-4 days after initiation. Incubate at 37 ºC at 5 % CO2.
This cell line produces an IgG2a antibody directed against the CD4 antigen on rat T cells and macrophages. The specificity is the same as that of W3/25, though their binding is non-competitive. OX-35 will compete with OX-36.
This hybridoma is produced by the fusion of NSO/1 cells with splenocytes from mouse immunized with T blasts prpared in mixed lymphocyte reactions with purified rat T helper cells against irradiated spleen.
