Application  
Subculture: Split at 70-80% confluency, approx. 1:3 to 1:10 (1-3 × 104 cells/cm2). Trypsinize using 0.25% solution without EDTA, 37 °C and 5% CO2
 
  
The HT29 cell line was isolated from a primary tumor in a 44-year-old Caucasian female. This cell line forms a well-differentiated adenocarcinoma consistent with colony primary, grade I and will also form tumors in steroid-treated hamsters.
