Immunogen

Purified egg white avidin.

Specificity

Biotin conjugated Monoclonal Anti-Avidin may be used for amplification of biotin-avidin reactions (e.g., immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization).

The antibody binds to the avidin molecule without interfering with the biotin-binding reaction.¹ The product reacts specifically with egg white avidin, ExtrAvidin and their complexes formed with biotin. The antibody shows no cross-reaction with streptavidin.

Physical form

Solution supplied in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 1% BSA and 15 mM sodium azide.
