Antigen Background
CD62E (E-Selectin) surface antigen is a glycoprotein and member of the selectin family of adhesion receptors. It is expressed by activated human endothelial cells and is detectable in the plasma.
Immunogen
TNF-α activated human endothelial cells.
Preparation Note
Prepared by conjugation to fluorescein isothiocyanate isomer I (FITC). This green dye is efficiently excited at 495 nm and emits at 525 nm.
Specificity
Recognizes the human CD62E (E-Selectin) surface antigen. The antibody may be used in flow cytometry, ELISA, immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunohistochemistry. It inhibits adhesion of neutrophils, eosinophils, and a skin-homing T-cell subpopulation to activated endothelial cells and CD62E-transfected cells.
