Anti-Matrix Metalloproteinase-3, N-Terminal antibody produced in rabbit 

synthetic peptide corresponding to the N-terminal end of human matrix metalloproteinase-3 (stromelysin-1).

By immunoblotting against the reduced protein, the antibody reacts with bands at 59 kDa and 57 kDa (MMP-3 proenzyme), as well as active forms. Also reacts with non-reduced MMP-3. This antibody has better cross-species recognition than Sigma Product No. M4802 or M4927. The antibody binds to active and latent stromelysin-1 and stromelysin-2, but not stromelysin-3, and other MMP family members.

Solution in phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 50% glycerol.
