Biochem/physiol Actions
Hydrolyzes α(2→3), α(2→6), and α(2→8)-glycosidic linkages of terminal sialic residues of various glycomolecules.
Releases α(2→3)- and α(2→6)-linked N-acetylneuraminic acid from complex oligosaccharides.
Packaging
Provided with 5× reaction buffer (250 mM sodium phosphate, pH 6.0).
Preparation Note
Expressed in glycosidase-free hosts.
