Antigen Background
P2Y13 receptor belongs to the G-protein coupled receptors superfamily. Like the P2Y12 receptor it is a high affinity receptor for the ADP nucleotide, coupled to the Gai class of G-proteins. The P2Y13 receptor is highly expressed at brain and spleen tissues as well as in the immune system. ADP activates a negative feedback pathway for ATP release from human red blood cells via the P2Y13 receptor. P2Y13 receptor was also implicated in inhibition of N-type Ca2+ channels in neurons, exerting pre and/or post-synaptic modulatory action.
Immunogen
peptide DRFLKIIRPLRNIFLK(C) corresponding to residues 119-134 of human P2Y13 receptor.
Reconstitution
Reconstitute the lyophilized vial with 50 μL or 200 μL deionized water, depending on package size. Further dilutions should be made using a carrier protein such as BSA (1-3%).
Physical form
Lyophilized from phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 1% BSA and 0.05% sodium azide.
