Monoclonal Anti-Thy 1.2-Quantum Red^™ antibody produced in rat 

Thy 1 is a member of the immunoglobulin gene superfamily and has a molecular weight of 25-30 kD. It is a pan-T cell marker and is also expressed on cells of granulocytic lineage, early hematopoietic progenitors, epithelial cells, fibroblasts and neurons. Thy 1.2 is expressed by most mouse strains with the exception of AKR/J, A.Thy 1.1 and B6.PL(74NS) which express Thy 1.1.

Quantum Red is a tandem fluorescent dye created by coupling R-phycoerythrin with Cy5 reactive dye. This red dye is efficiently excited at 488 nm and emits at 670 nm.

Recognizes the Thy 1.2 allelic form of the integral membrane glycoprotein Thy 1. When using this anti-Thy 1.2 clone, Fc receptors should be blocked.
