Application
The streptavidin-phycoerythrin (PE) conjugate may be used in conjunction with biotinylated reagents in the avidin/biotin labeling system in flow cytometry.
Preparation Note
Prepared by conjugation to R-phycoerythrin (PE). This orange-red dye is efficiently excited at 488 nm and emits at 578 nm.
Specificity
Similar to egg white avidin, streptavidin consists of four identical subunits, each containing a single biotin binding site.
Physical form
Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 1% bovine serum albumin and 15 mM sodium azide.
