Transilluminator UV/white light 

One transilluminator with two functions. The left side is a 20 × 20 cm white light table for reading autoradiograms, protein gels, and multiwell plates. It is uniformly illuminated by two 8W color-balanced fluorescent tubes diffused through an opal glass stage. The right side is a 20 × 20 cm, 312 nm UV transilluminator for ethidium bromide-stained gels and other fluorescence applications. Illumination comes from six 8W tubes. The UV filter resists solarization indefinitely with 312 nm light source. A hinged UV safety screen protects the entire stage and can be propped up like a work shield.
