Multi-purpose benchtop work enclosure for any procedure that can be affected by airborne contamination − culture work, DNA sequencing, PCR, etc. Removable side access panels provide a “still air” enclosure with both fluorescent and germicidal UV lamps. UV is automatically switched off whenever an access panel is removed. Front panel is 1/2-inch, sides and back are 3/8-inch acrylic for all-around β-protection and optical clarity. Two 6-inch wide white acrylic shelves can be installed in multi-position brackets at back of chamber. Electrical housing is removable for installation of large pieces of equipment. Dimensions of 24 in × 18 in (w × d) provide roomy working area. Unit is 28 in high.
