Membrane filters for epifluorescent microscopy 

Track-etch membranes provide a flat, smooth surface with highly uniform pores, an ideal medium for collecting particles for microscopic analysis. These membranes are especially designed for epifluorescent microscopy of microorganisms in water and microbiological media. The blackening process eliminates natural autofluorescence and provides a high-contrast background for observing fluorescent-stained microbes.
