Uniphor electrophoresis units 

UniPhor units can be used for:
Analytical Protein and Peptide Characterization: Denaturing and non denaturing SDS-PAGE gels IEF in ultrathin PAGE gels (Z640727, Z640719 & Z640751)
Preparative Protein and Peptide Separation: Non-denaturating PAGE gels and Agarose gels IEF in Agarose Ampholyte Gels (Z640719 & Z640751)
Molecular Biology: DNA/RNA fragment analysis, SSCP-Electrophoresis, Long Distance-TGGE (needs external cryo-thermostate with temperature ramping functionality), Flat-Bed Sequencing (Z640743 & Z640751).
All units are equipped with SCE (Solid Carbon Electrodes) electrodes, which help avoid any of the known problems of Platinum wire electrodes due to their higher conductivity and larger contact area with the gel.
