Scintillation reagents

The emission of light flashed by fluorescent substances after their excitation by energy-rich radiation is called scintillation. This radio-luminescence phenomenon is widely used to measure radioactivity. Solution or solid phase methods are commonly used in liquid or solid scintillation fluorography

  • Organic scintillators usually suitable for measuring β-decay from radioisotopes (mainly 3H and 14C)
  • Amplification process for α, β,γ-radiation
  • Better quantification
