XtalFluors: Convenient crystalline deoxofluorination reagents

XtalFluors are crystalline dialkylaminodifluorosulfinium tetrafluoroborate salts useful in the deoxofluorination of hydroxyl and carbonyl moieties when used in conjunction with a promoter such as DBU, Et₃N ∙ 3HF, or Et₃N ∙ 2HF.

Advantageous Properties

• Air stable solid
• Greater thermal stability than DAST or DeoxoFluor
• Works for a broad substrate scope
• Provides predictable and high chemoselectivity
• Does not generate free-HF under anhydrous conditions
