Sulfenyl Halides

Sulfonyl chlorides react readily with nucleophiles, such as alcohols and amines, and as such, are important synthetic precursors. Sulfonyl halide derivatives are used in a variety of synthetic chemistry applications in pharmaceuticals (antimicrobials, enzymatic inhibitors, transition state analogs), materials science (organic LCD, LED, polymers, membrane manufacturing), and analytical assays.
