Alkenes

Sigma-Aldrich offers an extensive array of high-purity cyclic and acyclic alkenes of various branching and sizes as building blocks in organic synthesis. The alkene functional group (or olefin) can be subjected to a number of reactions and catalysts including intramolecular cycloaddition of 1,3-enynes with alkenes, zirconium-catalyzed asymmetric carboalumination of alkenes (ZACA reaction), intermolecular hydrosilylation with terminal alkynes, asymmetric epoxidation using the Shi catalyst, asymmetric transfer hydrogenation, cyclization of enynes, and catalysis with Reetz ligands.
