Resins for SP Peptide Synthesis

The use of an insoluble polymer support greatly simplifies the synthesis of peptides, as after each repetitive coupling step, the purification of the growing peptide chain is accomplished by a simple filtration procedure. Its major advantage is, that after each reaction the corresponding soluble reagents and by-products are removed effectively from the retained polymer and the resin-bound macromolecules. All resins for Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis offered by Sigma Aldrich are high quality, functionalized, gel-type, beaded supports with a broad variety of chemical architectures to meet the requirements of all common synthetic approaches. Our supports are offered in a wide variety of resin parameters such as chemical composition, degree of cross-linking, bead size, particle size distribution and capacity (amount of functionalities for anchoring amino acid residues or linker moieties).
