Palladium Scavengers Palladium is one of the most commonly used transition metal catalysts in medicinal chemistry. Due to the toxicity of transition metals, the required levels in the final product needs to be in the part per million range before in vivo screening can take place. Sigma-Aldrich® offers polymer-supported and silica-based scavengers that can be added after the reaction is complete to selectively bind to the palladium catalysts. The final product is then filtered away from the polymer-bound palladium. Palladium Supported Catalyst Sigma-Aldrich offers palladium-supported catalysts for C-C, C-N, and C-O bond formation and reduction. |
