Inorganic Trace Analysis

 

Sensitive trace analysis applications (AAS, ICP-AES, polarography, ion chromatography, etc.) require extremely pure sample preparation reagents to assure low blank values. Digestion reagents cannot contain metal ions or other impurities. Further, complete decomposition of the sample is required in order to achieve reproducible and accurate elemental results by analytical instrumental methods.

Organic Residue Analysis

 

Organic residue testing entails the analysis of persistent organic pollutants, and highly toxic compounds, down to ultratrace levels in food and environmental applications.  Most of the organic pollutants identified in environmental analysis are extracted using solvents, from matrices such as food, water or soil. The high purity solvents, additives and standards provided by Fluka ensure low detection levels and reproducible results for sample preparation; as well as, for separation and analysis of organic contaminants in biologicals, soil, sludge, water, and air matrices. In food and environmental applications, the focus is on substances such as dioxins, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and pesticides.
