Stable Isotopes

Stable Isotopes in Medical Imaging

 MRI / MRS / Hyperpolarization

Compounds labeled with stable isotopes are used in Magnetic Resonance Imaging to render visible metabolic changes in the body. The goal of this application is the early diagnosis and treatment of neuropsychiatric disorders, cancer, and other disease states.

The use of stable isotopes in medical imaging has increased greatly, and ISOTEC is committed to offering an extensive array of labeled compounds. The usage of stable isotope compounds, in conjuction with 13C-MRS in vivo techniques, provides a way to explore fluxes through energy-related metabolic pathways.

We offer a wide variety of isotopically-labeled compounds, including 13C-labeled glucose, lactate, pyruvic acid, and glutamine, for all MRI / MRS applications, including Hyperpolarization (Dynamic Nuclear Polarization and Para Hydrogen Induced Polarization).
