CRISPR/Cas9 is a new targeted gene editing tool that has taken the research world by storm with its simple and efficient mode of RNA-guided gene targeting. In this 60-minute seminar, we will take a thorough look at the CRISPR/Cas9 system and some of its applications in the laboratory.

Topics will include:

  • CRISPR Design
  • Efficiency
  • Specificity
  • Comparison to CompoZr ZFN
  • Gene knockout and Insertion
  • Nickases
  • RNA Format for Embryo Microinjection
