Suzuki Coupling Reagents

Suzuki Palladium-Catalyzed Cross-Coupling with Aryl Halides

Arylboronic acids, including heterocyclic boronic acids, are key reagents in Suzuki palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling with aryl halides.

The use of air- and water-stable arylboronic acids in Suzuki reactions is superior in many aspects to other routes, including organometallic and Stille coupling reactions. Besides increased stability, arylboronic acids offer low toxicity and limited side reactions as compared to alternate chemistries.

These attributes are particularly beneficial in making pharmaceutical intermediates and APIs.
