LC/MS Analysis of Tryptamines on TITAN™ Silica UHPLC Column

Conditions

column Titan Silica, 10 cm x 2.1 mm I.D., 1.9 µm particles (581532-U)
column temp. 35 C
mobile phase [A] acetonitrile; [B] 10 mM ammonium formate; (95:5, A:B)
flow rate 0.4 ml/min
pressure 3120 psi (215 bar)
sample 1000 ng/mL in mobile phase
injection 1 µl
detector ESI(+), MRM m/z see figure for transitions

Description

Analysis Note The onset of sudden, unexplained, bizarre behavior is symptomatic of the abuse of tryptamine "party drugs." Shown here are eight tryptamine compounds separated by HILIC on a Titan C18 column with mass spectrometric detection using two MRMs for each compound. Cerilliant CRMs provided reliable quantification.
