EnPresso® Y Defined Growth (yeast protein data)

Results of Yeast Culture (Proteins for Research)

The first tablet-based, chemically-defined growth system for yeast, EnPresso Y Defined, enables production of more protein in less time from cultures of Pichia pastoris using AOX promoters with methanol induction.

Researchers obtained similar yields obtained in 3 days using EnPresso Y Defined in a baffled Ultra Yield Flask as compared to 7 days using YPD media in a baffled shake flask. Protein expressed was Candida Antarctica lipase B (CalB) in Pichia pastoris MutS phenotype.

Researcher compared EnPresso Y Defined  with a commercially-available growth media. Protein expressed is Rhizopus oryzae lipase in Pichia pastoris.

Up to 4-fold increase in yield of active protein

Researchers compared EnPresso Y Defined with conventional buffered minimal medium. Protein expressed was Rhizopus oryzae lipase in Pichia pastoris.
