ABOUT THE EVENT
The annual AFM Telethon takes place the first weekend of December in support of the organization's single objective: to defeat neuromuscular diseases. This fundraising event, combining a 30-hour TV show and tens of thousands of local events across France, also aims to raise public awareness of neuromuscular diseases.
Since the first Telethon in 1987, major scientific progress and revolutions have marked AFM's fight, supported by the determination of patients, families, scientists, volunteers and the generosity of millions of individual supporters. The Telethon provides most of the organization's donations and operates as an important vehicle for information, communication and education.
