Sigma-Aldrich warrants that its products conform to the specifications in Sigma-Aldrich literature. Should a product fail to conform to its specifications, Sigma-Aldrich may choose to replace it free of charge or refund the purchase price.
To the extent permitted by Irish law, this warranty is exclusive and Sigma-Aldrich makes no warranty, expressed or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose. Sigma-Aldrich shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential or contingent damages.

It is our policy not to accept returns unless we are notified of any damages or discrepancies wth your delivery within 5 working days of receipt. Please therefore inspect parcels immediately and inform our Customer Services Department who are available to assist you should a problem arise.
Prior to returning any items, please contact the Customer Service Department to obtain a Goods Return Number (G.R.N.) and shipping instructions. A return authorisation will ensure the safe and proper handling of material and enable us to expedite a resolution. No item will be accepted for collection by our courier company without the approved Goods Return Number being clearly displayed on the outside of the package. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that all returned goods are packed in compliance with all relevant transport regulations. Any items found to have been returned without prior authorisation will not be accepted for credit and a standing charge of €100 will be invoiced to the appropriate department. Shipment of authorised returns should be made within 30 days of the issuance of the Goods Return Number.
We will do our best to fulfill requests to return material. However, in order to maintain the quality of our products and continue to provide competitive prices, certain items may not be returned for credit. These items include: diagnostic reagents, refrigerated or frozen products; reagents and standards which have passed their expiration dates; custom products or special orders; products missing labels, parts or instruction manuals; books, computer software and equipment removed from their original packaging. Returns accepted for items ordered in error may be subject to a processing fee.

Orders are usually despatched the day they are received. Sigma-Aldrich pays normal transit costs on many items to anywhere in the world. This should be remembered when comparing Sigma-Aldrich prices with those of other suppliers.
There is NO MINIMUM ORDER CHARGE and SIGMA-ALDRICH PRICES CONTINUE TO INCLUDE POSTAGE in many cases.
Ireland
Certain items may not be admissible for postal routing for reasons of weight, hazardous nature or restrictions of other kinds.
Products requiring the protection of Dry or Wet Ice are despatched in insulated containers by express services, at an additional charge of €4.45 or €8.90, per despatch.
OVERSEAS
Numerous restrictions and regulations govern the international transport of chemical products. We strive to ship all orders without delay and to minimise delivery costs within these regulatory guidelines.
All orders prepared for shipment outside Ireland are FCA shipping point. The volume of our international shipments results in very competitive rates from our freight forwarders. For orders shipped through our designated carriers the costs are added to your invoice. You can choose other forwarders to handle your orders; however, such orders are delivered on a collect basis. Please note, we will only ship our products through an IATA-approved freight forwarder.
Hazardous items and items that require ice for shipment incur additional charges; a diamond identifies these products. They are commonly shipped via air freight. Whenever possible, Sigma-Aldrich consolidates air freight to minimise shipping costs.
