Fusion Protein Cleavage

Fusion tags are often utilized for rapid purification and detection of recombinant proteins. Although fusion tags are vital for these functions, they are not considered to be permanent fixtures or domains on recombinant proteins. Hence, removal of the fusion tag is an essential requirement for highly analytical studies of recombinant protein structure and function.
