The addition of 2,200 new Prestige Antibodies brings the total Prestige Antibody portfolio to 8,300, covering 6,900 human protein targets. Each Prestige Antibody designed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) Program is accompanied by 700 immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF) and Western blot images. While most commercially available antibodies are validated solely by the supplier, Prestige Antibodies powered by Atlas Antibodies, are supported by the publically available data of the Human Protein Atlas (HPA), a part of HUPO's Human Antibody Initiative. All Prestige Antibodies are tested in multiple assurance steps to ensure that they are the most specific products on the market.

The Human Protein Atlas (proteinatlas.org) displays a collection of over 9.1 million images of normal and cancer tissues, cell lines, and primary cells. The database not only delivers visible proof of antibody performance, but also provides a knowledge base with regard to the structural and temporal expression proteins in various cells and tissues.

Each antibody is used to explore the protein profile by IHC in 48 normal human tissues in triplicates, 20 cancer types from 4–12 individuals in duplicates, 47 cell lines, and 12 primary cell types. In total, more than 700 IHC images are generated for each antibody.
