Only in recent years have in vitro transcription and chemical synthesis made it worthwhile for scientists to consider directly working with the intractable RNA molecule. Yet, both technologies have limitations. In vitro transcription tends to be useful for long sequences and chemical synthesis for abundant quantities. Combined, they would make a novel and ideal technology.
In partnership with MitoProd, Sigma is pleased to announce that this novel and ideal technology now exists. Introducing RNAtural—RNA, The Natural Way. RNAtural is biologically-produced, custom RNA sequences manufactured up to thousands of bases in milligram yields. Under ISO 9001 conditions, yeast are used to produce the desired sequence as shown in the following animation:
