It can be difficult to obtain high quality data from RNAi screens because of off-target differential gene expression. These off-target effects are primarily the result of "miRNA-like" seed region binding of the siRNA to unwanted targets. MISSION Vérité siRNA includes a novel RNA base in the seed region of the antisense strand, which significantly reduces overall off-target effects.
