 Description

Duolink® PLA is a versatile tool that provides the ability to visualize and quantify protein post-translational modifications, define complex interactions, illuminate complex protein clusters, or amplify low- abundant single events. This 2-day course will introduce participants to the key concepts of Duolink® PLA including technology development, assay design, antibody optimization, best practices, and future applications. This workshop features hands-on lab exercises designed to provide participants with working knowledge of Duolink® PLA.

After earning degrees in biology and chemistry, Jackie began her career at Pfizer in structure-based drug design.  Since starting at Sigma in 2011, Jackie has leveraged her strong protein background in her current role in the Protein Technologies and Assays group. Now MilliporeSigma, Jackie is a senior scientist in the PTA group.

Tracy is an R&D Senior Scientist at MilliporeSigma in the Protein Technologies and Assay group. She received a B.S. in Biology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, Memphis. She did a post-doc and later became an Assistant Professor in the Pulmonary Division at Washington University School of Medicine.  She came to Sigma-Aldrich in 2014.

Zi Teng Wang, Ph.D.

Zi Teng Wang completed his PhD in Molecular Cell Biology at Washington University in St Louis in January 2017, studying the brain-eating, behavior-altering parasite Toxoplasma gondii. He is also experienced with ecology, algal biology, biodiesel, genomics, and genetics, and has been active in research since his early undergraduate studies. Zi is also active in science education and outreach; he is a founding member of the Skeptical Society of St Louis, and volunteers with the St Louis Science Center and the Academy of Science St Louis.
