Immobilon® PVDF Membranes

Immobilon™-P PVDF Membranes: Immobilon-P PVDF (Polyvinylidene Difluoride) membranes have been optimized for Western blotting and offer better handling and staining than nitrocellulose. All Immobilon-P PVDF membranes have a pore size of 0.45 μm.

Immobilon™-PSQ Membranes: PVDF with greater protein binding capacity than standard Immobilon-P. Thus, in protein sequencing applications, dramatically higher yields can be obtained. We recommend traditional Immobilon-P membranes for routine Western blotting applications. Immobilon-PSQ membranes are functional in these applications but will have higher background.

Immobilon™-FL PVDF Membrane: The Immobilon-FL PVDF membrane is the first transfer membrane optimized for fluorescence applications. It demonstrates extremely low background, which improves sensitivity of all fluorescence detection protocols and is compatible with all commonly used fluorescent probes at all excitation and emission wavelengths. It is ideal for multiplexing and chemifluorescence applications.
