Protease Inhibitor Cocktails for HIS-Select

For isolation of histidine-tagged proteins, Sigma-Aldrich offers several protease inhibitor cocktails without metal chelating agents like EDTA or 1,10-phenanthroline. The omission of metal chelators from these particular protease inhibitor cocktails ensures their compatibility with downstream immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC) sample processing methods,1-3 while helping to preserve the recombinant proteins intact.
