Lectin Matrices

Immobilized lectins are used in affinity chromatography to selectively capture glycoproteins and glycopeptides. The primary lectins used are Concanavalin A (Con A), wheat germ (Triticum vulgaris), and jacalin (Artocarpus integrifolia), but additional lectin-agarose conjugates are available for specificity to less common glycans.
