| In addition to a variety of pre-blended powders and components, we also offer pre-poured agar plates for the culture and selection of bacterial cultures. Currently we offer traditional LB plates for cultivation of any Escherichia coli strain and LB/amp plates for selection of ampicillin resistant strains and cells harboring selection plasmids containing the ampicillin resistance gene. LB/amp plates are tested with at least 4 different recombinant strains of E. coli to demonstrate the efficacy of the antibiotic contained within. |
