Cell Lysis and Protein Extraction

Efficient cell lysis and maximum protein extraction yields are vital to high-quality recombinant protein purification. CelLytic® formulations for bacterial, mammalian, yeast or plant cell lysis result in higher protein yields than traditional physical disruption methods, such as sonication or the French press. The proprietary non-denaturing formulations are compatible with most affinity purification techniques and preserve protein function allowing for downstream analysis. CelLytic products are offered in a variety of convenient formats ranging from concentrates to tablets. Sigma-Aldrich also offers a wide range of protease inhibitor cocktails to further ensure that proteolytic degradation does not occur during cell lysis and protein extraction. Select the CelLytic formulation specific for your research needs.
